Head of North American Sales

Valutec is the world’s leading supplier of continuous dry kilns for softwood and is now expanding in North America. Five years ago, we started up our first North American office in Vancouver BC and now we’re opening our first American office – and that's where you come in.

As Head of Sales, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the success of Valutec’s growth in North America. You’ll be leading efforts in building practices and creating operational processes to help win the market. We have a state-of-the-art product market fit, a dedicated support team, an excellent growth curve and fantastic references – we just need you to help us grow even faster.

What you'll do

  • Develop, implement, manage and oversee our North American sales processes.
  • Source new customers and business contacts, demonstrate the technical features of our products, drive sales, and maintain strong customer relations.
  • Execute strategic plans as well as clearly articulate product and marketing needs to drive revenue and achieve goals.
  • Advise customers on technology upgrades
  • Work collaboratively with various internal teams.

What you'll bring

  • History of success in a technical sale capacity with related field experience.
  • Experience in managing business proposals, making presentations, and closing deals.
  • Ability to go into customers’ locations and identify technical challenges and inefficiencies.
  • Profound technical knowledge and experience from the North American sawmilling industry.
  • Results and objectives oriented, with the ability to function in a self-directed manner with a high degree of independence and autonomy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-growing, innovative company where commitment to teamwork is paramount to success in this position.

Preferably you’re based in the northeastern region of the USA, close to any of the larger sawmill clusters, but this is a travel job. Expect to be on the road för approximately 50% of the time.
