Valutec’s continuous kilns combine high capacity and cost efficiency with drying quality comparable to that of batch kilns. This has made Valutec the world’s largest supplier of continuous kilns.

The basic principle of a continuous kiln is that heat and moisture are transported by air, circulated with fans past the lumber. The climate for each package of lumber changes during its passage through the kiln.

The kilns are built in stainless steel and with machine parts of the highest quality. Annual capacity ranges from about 25,000 to 200,000 m³ (10–85 MMBF). They are designed for sawmills with continuous production of boards and planks.

TC Continuous kiln

The TC kiln combines high capacity and quality with the flexibility of a batch kiln. This combination suits a wide range of sawmills and has made it our most popular model.

FB Continuous kiln

Valutec’s FB continuous kilns are specially developed for drying side boards and centre-cut timber. Annual capacity ranges from 40,000–100,000 m³ (17–42 MMBF).

OTC Continuous kiln

The OTC continuous kiln minimizes the risk of checking in larger dimensions. OTC kilns are specially developed for planks and offer an annual capacity of 40,000–100,000 m³ (17–42 MMBF).

3-zone Continuous kiln

The 3-zone continuous kiln adds a third zone to the two found in FB and OTC kilns. This conditioning zone ensures even higher lumber quality, even at very high capacities.
