Valutec Breaks New Ground in Central Europe – First Batch Kiln Deal Secured

Valutec, long the leading supplier of continuous kilns in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), has secured its first batch kiln deal through an order for four units from a leading industry player in the region. The deal marks a clear breakthrough and strengthens Valutec’s position as a technology leader in industrial wood drying.

Valutec’s batch kilns are constructed in stainless steel and combine high energy efficiency and capacity with consistent, high final product quality. The solutions are designed to meet the industry’s increasing demands for sustainability, quality, and performance.

Following extensive and long-term development work, Valutec has developed a batch kiln that sets a new market standard in terms of sustainability, quality, and cost efficiency. Customers benefit from a solution that combines the highest final product quality on the market with a low investment cost per dried cubic meter. At the same time, the solution offers the lowest Total Cost of Ownership on the market, providing an optimal balance between performance and economics.

The batch kilns are equipped with pressure frames that minimize deformation in the upper timber layers, as well as Valutec’s heat recovery system. The delivery also includes the Valmatics 4.0 control system and the integrated Valusim simulator. These patented systems are unique on the market and enable simultaneous optimization of the drying process based on quality, capacity, and energy consumption.

Installation of the kilns will begin in August 2026, with commissioning scheduled in November 2026.
